Artist Statement
The idea behind ‘Gaia’ came from reading the works of James Lovelock, an earth scientist who developed the theory that our planet is one living, connected ecosystem where everything is affected by each other. This stained glass panel considers our future on Earth as a species & how our planet is being affected by climate change. Traditional Stained Glass painted panel which is backlit in a bespoke wooden frame. Lights connect to the mains and USB port.
Stained Glass Panel – Artist
April Pebble glass artist is a Somerset-based artist who creates amazing stained glass commissions and produces fused glass vessels of vivid colours and great imagination.

For many years, April ran therapeutic art workshops for the charity One25 in St Paul’s in Bristol

April takes on commission for both private residences and designs sculptural work for exhibitions.
Her studio is based on a farm in Shepton Mallet and when not working on her own pieces, she runs courses in creative glass techniques. She also continues to run glass art courses at the Bristol Folk House.
