Mixed Media Art Sculpture ‘Blossom Atoll’ by Amanda Deadman
Meticulously-made, mixed media art sculpture that is an outstanding exemplar of the beauty of coral reefs.
Delicate greens and pinks coalesce within the salt and pepper core to give colour and showcase to intricacies of nature’s beauty.
The form and subtle colours give light the chance to dance across the meticulous surface of the piece.
The artwork is set in a deep perspex white glazed box.
Artist’s Statement
Predominantly adorned in a soft, creamy hue, this piece is intricately speckled with delicate touches of grey and black, creating a sophisticated contrast. The vibrant lime green frames the edges, evoking the mesmerizing glow of underwater light, while playful accents of baby pink dance across the surface, adding a touch of whimsy and charm.
Elevated on foam board plinths, it casts enchanting shadows that shift and change with the light, inviting you to explore its depth from every angle. This unique feature not only enhances its visual appeal but also creates a dynamic interplay between light and form, making it a captivating focal point in any space.
