Long Glass Vase ‘Filigrana’ by Massimiliano Schiavon Art Team
As the name suggests, Filigrana is a long glass vase that embodies all that is filigree. Red and black crystal rods are melted together, to create this winsome vase. Through hot work, the resulting neck is created, pulled like that of a swan.
However, it is the cold work that sets this vase apart. Diamond point engraving, of straight equidistance lines upon the vase, requires great precision and skill.
At over a metre tall, this long glass vase was made to be showcased!
N.B. The images shown are an example of the ones in the series. Each piece is hand-blown and will vary slightly. Each one is completely unique and signed by the artist.
