Beautiful Vessels ‘Garniture’ by Cathryn Shilling
This ‘garniture’ of beautiful vessels by glass artist Cathryn Shilling boasts vibrant yellows, turquoise, blues, reds, and greens. A collection of matching, but non-identical glass vases, each one is hand-rolled and blown to perfection. The name of Cathryn’s ‘garniture’ of vessels comes from the French verb to garnish. These roll-up vases will bring warmth, character, and vibrancy to your home. Made from sheets of previously fused glass, each rolled and blown vase is entirely unique.
The line-up of dazzling colours inside each of these beautiful vessels will brighten up even the dullest of days. Let this ‘garniture’ of vessels take centre stage in your home. Each of the vessels from this range is finished to perfection by hand.
The pontil mark (polished down to perfection) is where the base of the vessel was snapped off from the putty iron. A true representation of blown glass art that is at the height of perfection, enabling the viewer to gaze endlessly into the myriad of contrasting colours.
N.B. The images shown are an example of the ones in the series. Each piece is handmade and therefore there will be small variations in colour, shape and pattern. Each one is completely unique and signed by the artist.
