Studio Cast Glass Art ‘Legacy’ by Belinda Harding
Legacy is a piece of studio cast glass art that prompts many questions. Black glass, cast of a weaved basket, held within it a bundle of sticks. Could this be the legacy of one person, or perhaps the world? A bundle of sticks. A real questionable piece, a great conversation starter.

Studio Cast Glass Art Artist
Belinda Harding always knew she wanted to be an artist from the age of seven. At school her love for the art room was evident and she continued her study of drawing at art college in Paris. When she left Byam Shaw School of Art, Belinda was awarded the Bernard Dunstan RA drawing prize.
Belinda then went on to have a family, she still continued to paint and draw as her family grew. She liked to experiment with different media – collage, watercolour, oil, pastel and ink.
Belinda finally has found her identity through sculpture, enjoying the luminosity that she can portray in her visions. She likes the texture that she can create with her fingertips. Belinda has found three-dimensional forms are the perfect way to express her vocabulary.
With a need to feel confident in her own ability, Belinda went to university, majoring in Art History. She then had the joy of two whole years to study for a masters degree in creative art at the Farnham campus of UCA.
Belinda finds working with glass, metal and stone enables her to use her skills as a draftsman and her visual capacity to use what exists in the gaps between forms. She builds three-dimensional forms which are a natural expression of her identity
