Large Art Glass Sculpture Artist
After taking early retirement from her first career in 2010, Sandra successfully studied for a BA in Art & Design (Major Glass) at the Glyndwr University School of Art & Design. Her degree show was exhibited at New Designers in Islington, London in 2016 and was then included as part of a group of selected makers touring the North of England during 2017.
Sandra’s work features a range of skills but she primarily specialises in cast glass. As her work has progressed, Sandra set up a workshop at her home in North Shropshire. From her home studio, she now designs and creates large kiln formed cast sculptures, inspired primarily by the landscape around her. Continually looking at new techniques and furthering her research and experimentation she has undertaken master classes with highly respected glass artists such as Petr Stacho (Czech Republic), Vladimir Klein (Czech Republic) and Dr. Gerry King (Australia).
During 2020 Sandra has produced her first collection of work entitled Land, Sea and Sky. A collection of unique cast glass sculptures which capture both the colour and movement of the nature around her.
The Boha team are delighted to welcome Sandra to our gallery. We have no doubt that her outstanding glass art, such as this Blue Cast Glass Sculpture will win many admirers.
