Hand Made Glass Perfume Bottles ‘Mixed Greens’ by Kalki Mansel

The mixed green-layered, hand made glass perfume bottles by Kalki are a true representation of his incredible relationship with nature. The layers of green can be interpreted as the different shades of leaves on the tree or the richness of a freshly mown lawn.

With the deepest green being set into the centre of the bottle, the lighter shades that form an outward pattern could represent the changing of the seasons and flowers coming into bloom.

Like all the handmade glass perfume bottles in Kalki’s collection, when you purchase the mixed green layered glass bottle, you will find yourself fixated on the pattern of the glass and the stories that it tells.

Perfect for lovers of nature and natural scents, choose the mixed-green glass perfume bottle as a gift or as a treat for your own use. The natural way to store perfume, this glass bottle will look great on display in your home.

Hand Made Glass Perfume Bottles Artist

Kalki’s relationship with glass started at the tender age of 13 when he came across a glass art studio in Northern Ireland. Moving from the South with his family, he would spend as much time as possible hanging out at the Glass Studio he had stumbled across. Kalki Mansel glass artist finished his secondary school education, spending as much as possible of his spare time at the studio. America was his destination on completing school, and here he would learn more about his passion by visiting several studios and getting to know their individual artists.

On return from America, Kalki enrolled at Sunderland University to study for a BA honours degree in Glass, Architectural Glass, and Ceramics. His passion for glass had intensified during his time in America, and in 2007 he graduated from Sunderland. 2008 took Kalki to Australia, and on his return, he was to start working for the Jane Charles Studio of Glass in Sunderland as well as the National Glass Centre.

Today, Kalki continues to work in Sunderland, for both studios and as a glass blower and practising glass artist. Kalki’s works such as his amazing array of handmade glass perfume bottles are inspired by many fields including science, the natural world, colour, and culture. Molten glass is the perfect material for expressing and capturing his inspirations, Kalki loves to share his fascination with glass with others through his works.
