Glass Paper Weight ‘Whirling Dervish’ by Remigijus Kriukas
Whirling Dervish Glass Paper Weight is a glorious twirl of tightly woven glass bubbles encased in beautiful glass crystal.
With a drape of black as a backdrop to set the silvery clear bubbles against, this piece is very classy.
It has the feel of a 70s retro piece while at the same time being ultra-modern. Glass paperweights Whirling Dervish are made from 100% Glass crystal.
Every unique glass paperweight is handmade and personally signed by the artist. Whirling Dervish paperweights will make the perfect present!
Its duality of styles ensures it will work in most styles of room. It would work well in a modern black and white themed room as it would in a vintage or boudoir room.
N.B. Please note the images shown are examples of the series. All of Remi’s pieces are handmade therefore there will be slight variations in colour. Signed by the artist.
Glass Paper Weight Artist
R. Kriukas is a glass artist of much acclaim. He produces superbly clear glass crystal ornaments with brilliance and unsurpassed clarity. His Art Glass is highly prized and he has won many admirers both in Europe and America.
We managed to obtain some of his highly sought-after pieces via our Polish branch of Boha Glass.
What makes Remigijus’ work so special is that the designs are so ground-breaking and imaginative.
Some of his pieces are simply unfathomable and are a wonder to behold.
The perfection of the symmetry of the pieces and their highly polished finish shows real dedication.
Not only does he painstakingly produce and sign every piece by hand but he is meticulous in only sending out the very best pieces.
Remigijus Kriukas is a glass magician and manages to conjure up art glass from molten globules that are so far removed from his utterly stunning finished products it beggars belief.
Although a bubble or two is a natural result of the process there is never any sign of the glass colourants.

I received the paperweight within 48 hours of ordering it. It is a beautiful piece and it is hard to imagine how the glass artist created it. He is a supremely talented man.
