Black Ornaments ‘The “Teggno” by glass artist Remigijus Kriukas is an Elegant Egg-shaped art glass object. It has finely woven intricate bubbles that fuse into a web around a piercing fiery ruby-red core.
The smooth outer egg core has a beautiful black metallic sheen that catches the light masterfully.
On all sides of the piece is a clear flat glass window to look in on the central molten core.
With good lighting, this piece dazzles, whether in a sunny window, on a mantelshelf or in a fine display cabinet.

Black Ornaments Artist
Remigijus Kriukas was born in Lithuania in 1961. In 1985 he graduated from the Lithuanian State Institute of Fine Arts and began his career in glass working for several glass companies learning the art of glass forming and blowing.
Kriukas opened his own studio in 2000 to specialise in paperweights and glass sculptures. The focus on paperweights has helped him to hone his skills which he has transferred into his unique glass sculptures.
Since opening his studio has gone from strength to strength and he has exhibited his work all over the world. His glass sculptural work can be seen in museums in many countries.
