Interior Design Ornaments Artist

Vlastislav Janáček is an amazing glass artist hailing from the Czech Republic. Born in Havlíčkův Brod, he now lives and works in Kamenický Šenov.

His career in glass art started with working with a glass cutter. From there, he went on to study at the School of Applied Arts in Kamenický Šenov. There, under the leadership of Prof. V. Klein, he honed his glass artist skills and graduated in 1989. Since 1990 Vlastislav has been concentrating on creating his own beautifully modern and very colourful, optical glass sculptures. He has had many solo and group exhibitions across Europe and the USA. Unsurprisingly, his work is highly sought after!

Vlastislav Janáček is a glass designer with a keen eye for glass and how to create pieces that reflect and refract light to a dazzling effect. His pieces are bold and uncompromising and will definitely make a statement in your home. They bring a welcome dash of brightness to the Art Glass market.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT:

It is very simple to talk about my work – I just love glass. I am not really looking for the quantity effects that the material offer. What I am trying to do is to discover the inner origin and peculiar world of the glass. What about my themes? They come spontaneously. They are everywhere around us – the relationship between people, nature, and music … One has only to look and listen.

I will be totally happy if I manage to touch somebody with my work and bring my feelings and perceptions to others through my glass objects.
